Yousef Al-Masri
a refugee settlement outside Amman, Jordan
Yousef grew up learning survival skills in a crowded refugee settlement near Amman, feeling a deep responsibility for his younger siblings' welfare. Every dawn, he tends to his little garden and goat behind their makeshift shelter, refusing food not of his own making. As he climbs phone towers to earn what little he can, he is haunted by the vigilance required to protect and sustain his family, constantly aware of the whispers of danger around him.
