Tewodros Haile
a coffee farm in the Ethiopian highlands
Tewodros Haile, 32, lives amidst the coffee groves of Yirgacheffe, a keener of beans and a dreamer of impossible homes. By day, he cradles the scales against which local growers and traders measure their harvest, a trusted mediator in transaction and tea rituals. Nights are spent in restless contemplation, haunted by the absent foundation of a house that flits through slumber, as tangible in dreams as the calloused handle of his python wrench by day.
