Sorin Manea
a Roma settlement outside Sibiu, Romania
Sorin was abandoned at a gas station as a child and raised by the kind-hearted owner, who became his family. Growing up with the hum of fuel pumps and the quiet solitude of the station, Sorin found comfort in the orderliness of window washing. His childhood was punctuated by flashes of nostalgia, the softness of old photographs entrusted to him by his guardian, and his attentiveness is rooted in a desire to capture fleeting moments of security.
