Rafiq Ahmed

a high-rise slum in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Rafiq Ahmed spends his life behind the wheel of a truck, responsible for transporting textiles and produce across Bangladesh. His nomadic occupation leaves him with little time to rest, often finding refuge and sleep in the pews of empty churches. Haunted by both the creaky memory of his childhood home and the looming financial strains of his job, Rafiq turns to creating small, evocative art pieces during brief stops on his routes.
