Park Dae-sung
a former leper colony on Sorok Island, South Korea
Park Dae-sung, a rodeo clown, retreated to Sorok Island after decades of performing amidst the chaos of the rodeo circuit. Driven by a need for solitude and simplicity, he cherishes the repetitive tasks of patching up gear and checking fences. The island's silence has become the canvas for his contemplations on life and mortality, manifesting in the coffin he constructed as a counterbalance to the mortality he faces daily.
