Mehmet Yılmaz
a mountain village above Trabzon, Turkey
Mehmet Yılmaz spends his days weaving through the rugged, scenic roads of the Turkish Black Sea coast, his life a continuous dance between commerce and solitude. Each journey starts in the early light, his van laden with wares and stories absorbed from the many stops—a fragment of overheard chatter at the market, a lingering hush in an empty tea house. His creative outlet remains as mysterious as the night he let his car slip beneath the lake's surface, with each piece serving as an echo of that depthless plunge.
