Iain MacLeod
a storm-battered town on the Outer Hebrides, Scotland
Iain MacLeod grew up watching his father navigate storms and villages, a man who spoke less but did more, his oilskin jacket always present. As a child, Iain helped his father check traps and shore up the village against the omnipresent winds, learning practical skills as well as reverence for the elements. Now, Iain not only shoulders the work his father left behind but transforms the ripped and stained fabrics he encounters into art, perhaps as a way to untangle his nightly fears of loss and destruction.
