Bolormaa Sukhbaatar
a nomad encampment in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia
Bolormaa is a seasoned phone tower climber with over four decades of experience navigating the stark, expansive terrains of the Gobi Desert. He is deeply committed to tutoring younger climbers and ensuring the safety of the campsite while nurturing an attention to detail in observing light shifts at dusk. Despite being haunted by episodes of sleepwalking, Bolormaa channels his anxieties and life among nomads into creating intricate miniature sculptures at night under the shelter of his yurt.
