Árni Haraldsson

Árni is a butcher in the small town of Westfjords, where the sound of the sea and the smell of geothermal steam permeate daily life. He begins his day before dawn, sharpening knives in the warmth of the town's hot water, an age-old rhythm that ties him to the land and its people, fishermen and farmers drifting in and out of his store. By night, he is lulled by the static hum of a faint cassette tape, his mind lingering on memories, and the subtle curl of old photographs he's smoothed over countless times.
